CRAZY times...

Well, it's been crazy in the Wight house here lately. We are actually camping out at the Hannan's for the week. I (Christy) finally decided to go ahead and have my gallbladder removed after three very painful attacks and an attempt to change my diet (thanks to Vel, it pooped out). That happened yesterday. I'm feeling ok and everything went really well. Turns out that in the 25 years that my doctor has been doing this surgery he'd never seen anything like mine. Instead of just being attached to one side of my liver, it was attached to both sides. I have some really awesome pictures that they took during the surgery, but I'll spare you all the details : )

The other craziness that has been going on is that a 'neighbor' of ours ran into our gas meter/pipe at the end of our driveway. That is getting fixed now (luckily covered on homeowners insurance) but we won't have hot water until probably Friday at the earliest. This happened last week - right before the rains of hurricane Ike blew through Dallas which did not help fix the situation. We don't know who did it - it was a 'hit and run'. Now they've found some crazy broken terracotta looking pipe under our driveway. So we have to wait for the city to come and check it out - hopefully that results in a great big NOTHING :)

Drew has been playing the role of 'Mr. Mom' and doing a fabulous job : )

We're pretty sure Vel is in the middle of a growth spurt. She is sleeping just as much in the day as she is at night! We've hardly seen her the past two days :( When we take some more pictures of her, she's going to be HUGE - as if she wasn't before!! haha...

And a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY goes out to my beautiful sister Gennie (SWEET 16!) and our good friend Mikey-T. Hope your days are fabulous :)

Love to All
